DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today assigned center Christoffer Ehn to the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins.
Ehn was recalled by the Red Wings yesterday and skated 6:53 time on ice with one shot and four hits during the team’s 3-2 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks. The 22-year-old has split his first season in North America between the NHL and AHL, skating in 10 games for the Red Wings and five games for the Griffins. With Detroit, Ehn made his NHL debut on Oct. 4 vs. Columbus and registered his first NHL assist on Oct.
