Early in the third, Detroit scored two quick goals to tie the game 4-4. Edmonton scored a few mintes later to make it 5-4.
Detroit came back again two minutes after the Oilers scored to make it a 5-5 game. Then the Oilers scored with under six minutes left to make it 6-5.
Edmonton added and empty net goal to make the final score 7-5.
