Quick Hits: The Fedorov Debate Edition

Fedorov spent 13 seasons with the Wings and ended his time in Detroit in the top 10 in most offensive categories. His 400 goals are fourth in franchise history, behind Howe, Yzerman and Delvecchio. Fedorov fares slightly worse in assists (554), ranking seventh behind Yzerman, Howe, Lidstrom, Delvecchio, Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk. The combo is still enough to put him at sixth in Red Wings career points (954), ahead of Datsyuk and Lindsay, among others.

I know the Red Wings’ fan base is divided when it comes to retiring #91. I, however, have always been on the side of seeing Sergei Fedorov’s number raised to the rafters.
