Funeral arrangements have been set for Nick Polano, the former Detroit Red Wings coach and executive who oversaw the beginning of Steve Yzerman's career and helped bring Sergei Fedorov and Vladimir Konstantinov to the franchise.
A public visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. at L.J. Griffin Funeral Home in Northville, Polano's wife, Elva, told the Free Press on Saturday.
On Wednesday, a funeral mass will commence at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Parish and will be followed by a private family entombment at Glen Eden Memorial Park's St.
