Austin Watson, a forward with the Nashville Predators who grew up in Ann Arbor and played prep hockey in Metro Detroit, pleaded no-contest Tuesday to a misdemeanor domestic-assault charge, according to The Tennesseean.
According to the report, he will receive three months' probation; if he violates probation, he faces up to a year in jail. He must complete a 26-week intervention course, a treatment program for drugs and alcohol and maintain peaceful contact with the woman.
Watson was charged in an accident involving the woman at a gas station last month. Watson and the woman recently had a child, per the report.
