Ouellet in, Ericsson out for Red Wings today vs. Bruins

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jonathan Ericsson is out with a lower body injury for today’s game against the Boston Bruins.

Wings coach Jeff Blashill opted to play Xavier Ouellet, recalled Saturday from Grand Rapids (AHL), rather than Jakub Kindl. Ouellet will start out on a pairing with Alexey Marchenko.

“Ericsson is out, he was in this morning and he tried to go and he couldn’t go,” Blashill said. “I would say it’s day to day. Lower body. Day to day. It just depends for tomorrow. There’s a chance he could play tomorrow.”
