Nyquist was made the morning line favorite in the Kentucky Derby on Wednesday.
The horse named after Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist was listed at 3-1 after the Derby draw and will run Saturday out of post position No. 13 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
Nyquist was listed ahead of Exaggerator (8-1) and three others at 10-1 for the 142nd running of the first leg of the Triple Crown.
"He's doing so well and breaking from 13 is fine," Nyquist's trainer, Doug O'Neill, told NBCSN after the draw. "The post draw didn't matter to us a ton.
