Nashville, Tenn. — Maybe Petr Mrazek is ready to go on one of those streaks he’s shown capable of having.
It would certainly make life interesting for the Red Wings.
Mrazek stopped a season-high 42 shots and Mike Green scored the lone goal Saturday as the Red Wings defeated the Nashville Predators, 1-0.
And with their second consecutive victory, the Red Wings (22-21-9) crept within five points of Boston for third place and an automatic playoff spot in the Atlantic Division, and within six points of Philadelphia in the wild-card chase.
The playoffs are still a long shot — there were teams ahead of the Red Wings that won Saturday — but victories obviously give them hope.
