Pavel Datsyuk and Petr Mrazek were the first two Detroit Red Wings named today to a World Cup roster.
Datsyuk was part of the Russian roster and Mrazek part of the Czech Republic roster released this morning. There will be a staggered release of all eight preliminary rosters that will compete in the World Cup of Hockey next September in Toronto.
Other Wings expected to be named include Dylan Larkin, Tomas Tatar and Gustav Nyquist.
The teams will represent the U.S., Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, Finland, Canada, Europe (for players from European nations that don't have individual teams) and North America (players from the U.
