The Vegas Golden Knights' crazy ride this season from expansion team to the Stanley Cup Finals has been exactly as billed, according to a Michigan native in the middle of it.
Chris Davidson-Adams, a Grandville High School graduate who previously worked for the Grand Rapids Griffins and Muskegon Fury, is the Golden Knights' head equipment manager. It's true, he said, about their magical run.
"It's been surreal," Davidson-Adams said Thursday. "A year ago, I was helping get things organized, built, ordering everything and, honestly, I didn't think last year at this time there was any way we'd be in the Stanley Cup finals.
