DETROIT - Michael Rasmussen scored at 1:32 of overtime Wednesday to lift the Detroit Red Wings past the Pittsburgh Penguins in their preseason opener at Little Caesars Arena.
Rasmussen, at the net front, tapped in a pass from Dylan Larkin. It came one second after a delay of game penalty to Justin Schultz had expired.
Trevor Hamilton and Jussi Jokinen also scored for the Red Wings.
Jokinen tied it at the 10-minute mark of the third period, firing in a big rebound of a shot by Nick Jensen. Jokinen, a 13-year NHL veteran who has played for nine teams - four last season - is in camp on a tryout.
