Michael Rasmussen and Filip Zadina, the Detroit Red Wings' lone top-10 picks in the past 26 years, highlight the team's Prospect Tournament roster of 26 players competing in the event at Centre I.C.E. in Traverse City from Sept. 7-11.
Rasmussen, a center selected ninth in 2017, and Zadina, a right wing taken with the sixth pick this year, join two other first-round selections - defenseman Dennis Cholowski (No. 20 in 2016) and center Joe Veleno (No. 30 in 2018) - in the eight-team tournament for the Matthew Wuest Memorial Cup.
Zadina led all QMJHL rookies with 82 points (including 44 goals) in 57 games with Halifax and also scored seven goals in seven games for the Czech Republic at the World Junior Championship in Buffalo.
