The results are in.
After much anticipation, we now know where the Red Wings will pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. It will be the highest pick they’ve had since taking Martin Lapointe back in 1991. It’s been a painful season for Red Wings fans, one that has been long-coming, but now, we can finally put the kibosh on it all.
Here is the full order:
1st overall: New Jersey Devils
2nd overall: Philadelphia Flyers
3rd overall: Dallas Stars
4th overall: Colorado Avalanche (LMAO)
5th overall: Vancouver Canucks
6th overall: Vegas Golden Knights
7th overall: Arizona Coyotes
8th overall: Buffalo Sabres
9th overall: Detroit Red Wings
10th overall: Florida Panthers
11th overall: Los Angeles Kings
12th overall: Carolina Hurricanes
13th overall: Winnipeg Jets
14th overall: Tampa Bay Lightning
15th overall: New York Islanders
The Red Wings fall a couple picks back from where they fell in the standings, which is a little upsetting.
