Detroit — Dylan Larkin remembers the first time he came into contact with Jim Johannson.
The former USA Hockey assistant executive director died in his sleep in January at age 53 because of heart disease.
Johannson was one of those people who left a positive impact with everyone he met — including Larkin, who was still in college at Michigan the first time his path crossed Johannson's.
“He knew all the players — women’s, men’s, sled — he knew them personally,” Larkin said of Johannson's relationship with USA Hockey players. “He knew their families.
