Detroit – It was a first step, a baby step, but defenseman Kyle Quincey was pretty happy about it Sunday.
Quincey went on the ice and skated, four weeks after surgery to remove bone chips from his right ankle.
There's no real timetable on his return to the Red Wings' lineup -- probably late January -- but at least the process to return has bugn.
"It's good to get on the ice again," Quincey said. "You're starting from scratch, but it's good to get the ball rolling."
The surgery Quincey had was similar to what he had in May, after the playoffs ended, for his left ankle.
