Toronto — With a historic goal Friday, Henrik Zetterberg joined four Red Wings whose names are synonymous with greatness.
Petr Mrazek, cooly, calmly, attended to the goal, even when he was left nearly alone.
Jakub Kindl rushed nearly end-to-end on a display of the offensive instinct and ability that spurred the Wings to pick him in the first round.
It was not a pretty game. The Maple Leafs dominated geographically for long stretches.
Some would argue the Wings regressed.
But, they won, 2-1 in overtime.
They needed (deserved?) one like that.
