The view on Detroit's riverfront has been evolving over the past few months as workers methodically tear down Joe Louis Arena.
The home of the Detroit Red Wings for 38 seasons and countless other sporting events, concerts and conventions, the Joe shut down in the summer of 2017. Demolition began last year, and ever-so-slowly, the facade of the gray building with red trim was peeled away.
