GRAND RAPIDS - Jimmy Howard's second game with the Grand Rapids Griffins comes Wednesday and it's possible he could stick around for a third before returning to the Red Wings.
Griffins coach Todd Nelson said the organization will make the decision after Wednesday's home game.
"Just talking with Jimmy (after Saturday), he wanted to get one more game in. And who knows? Maybe another one after that," Nelson said after practice Monday. "It just depends on how things go Wednesday and what happens with the big club.
"Right now it's a day by day process and we just have to get ready for Wednesday.
