The Detroit Red Wings don’t expect to be without Darren Helm and Justin Abdelkader for an extended time.
“Tets didn’t show anything significant,” general manager Ken Holland told the Free Press Tuesday. “See how they are Friday for Saturday game.”
The two already had been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Stars.

Both were injured Saturday at Pittsburgh. Abdelkader tweaked his groin, and Helm appeared to hurt his right leg when it bent awkwardly during a play in the third period.
