In-Depth Look at Michael Rasmussen

With the ninth overall pick in the National Hockey League draft, the Red Wings selected Rasmussen. The center hails from Surrey, Britsh Columbia, Canada and played for the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League this past season. In 50 games played he produced 55 points, with 33 goals and 22 assists. Unfortunately, his season was cut short with a left wrist injury in February.

Lots of scouts and experts have been impressed by Rasmussen and have spoken highly of the young center. He is a big player with lots of skill. Guillaume Lepage of NHL.com talked about the center.
