ROSEMONT, Ill. — With 2:24 remaining in overtime, Filip Hronek slotted the puck past Chicago Wolves’ goaltender Oscar Dansk to help the Grand Rapids Griffins to a 4-3 overtime win at Allstate Arena on Saturday.
Grand Rapids and Chicago (10-5-2-1) are scheduled to meet five more times this season, with the Griffins currently leading the eight-game series 2-1. With the overtime win, the Griffins (9-7-0-2) now have points in nine of their past 11 games.
Grand Rapids returns to action on Nov. 26 when it travels to face the Iowa Wild at Wells Fargo Arena.
