“He doesn’t look like a young player,” said Griffins assistant coach Matt Macdonald, who coaches the team’s defensemen, prior to the game. “He plays with some experience, with a lot of confidence in a good way. He doesn’t panic. Which, I think a lot of young guys go in those situations, they panic at times. I haven’t seen that, really, out of him.”
The Griffins don’t seem to be easing Seider, the sixth overall pick in this year’s draft, into anything in his first season as a North American professional, even considering the smaller ice.
