So far, Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill has pulled a player because of a pending trade only once this season.

That was in November, when general manager Steve Yzerman’s decision to acquire Robby Fabbri prompted Jacob de la Rose to be a last-minute scratch before a game at the New York Rangers.

Now the Wings have two games left before Monday’s trade deadline, with a Friday date at the New York Islanders and a Sunday home game against the Calgary Flames.
