DENVER — When the Detroit Red Wings began the season without Mike Green, it offered opportunity for young defensemen. That scenario is repeating itself as the season winds down.
Green has suffered a reactivation of the virus that sidelined him three weeks in October. Early estimation on how much time he’ll miss is 7-10 days, coach Jeff Blashill said Tuesday. Green has been dealing with fatigue over the past couple weeks, and it worsened Monday.
