BUFFALO, N.Y. — As the Detroit Red Wings ponder their first pick in the 2019 draft, Jack Hughes raved about one possible choice: Trevor Zegras.

Zegras stood out Friday at the NHL combine as six of the top-ranked prospects took turns parrying questions from reporters after a week of fielding questions from NHL teams.

The Wings hold the sixth overall pick in the June 21-22 event in Vancouver, British Columbia, and while that eliminates likely top picks Hughes and Kaapo Kakko, there’ll be several high-end prospects available.
