The Detroit Red Wings were sellers for a third straight season at the trade deadline, and added more draft picks to their rebuild.

Their 2019 moves numbered two: Forward Gustav Nyquist and defenseman Nick Jensen. The return wasn’t as exciting as last season, when Tomas Tatar yielded a first, second and third round pick, but he was under contract for three more years, not a pending unrestricted free agent like Gustav Nyquist.
