Coach Todd Nelson is hoping that keeps going in Chicago when the second round starts Wednesday.
The Red Wings’ minor-league affiliate faces the Chicago Wolves with Game 2 Friday in Chicago before the best-of-seven series returns to Grand Rapids on Saturday.
The improvement Nelson saw in his team in the opening round gives him optimism.
“We got better and better,” Nelson said. “To be honest with you, we dodged a bullet in Game 1.
