Griffins get 11 players from Red Wings, including AHL's top scorer

The Grand Rapids Griffins got 11 players back from the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, including two reassigned by the Detroit Red Wings in Chris Terry and Axel Holmstrom.

Terry, who signed a two-year contract in the off season from Laval, is expected to be a big scoring contributor in Grand Rapids. He led the league in scoring last year with 71 points (32-39-71).

Holstrom, 22, appeared in 66 games with the Griffins last season with 26 points (7-19-26).

Nine other players in camp with the Red Wings were released from tryouts and will report to the Griffins.
