It's been frustrating to watch the Griffins in the second round thus far. A team who appeared to be pumping on all cylinders coming out of their first-round sweep seemed to have it all figured out. That's not the case anymore. The Monsters have their number, and now the Griffins are staring down the barrel of being swept from the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Lake Erie has been riding the brilliant play of goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, players like Oliver Bjorkstrand, and an impressive performance from former University of Michigan Wolverine Zach Werenski, who scored the game-winning goal in game three.
