ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Chicago Wolves received their second win in nine games as the Grand Rapids Griffins suffered their third consecutive defeat in a 5-2 loss on Wednesday night inside Allstate Arena.
Oscar Dansk and the Wolves’ defense played well throughout the night stopping the Griffins’ third period comeback. Grand Rapids (9-10-1-1) cut the lead down to two goals with 13:09 left to play but the Wolves (9-12-1-0) never saw their lead disappear and held true for the rest of the contest.
The Griffins will continue their three games in four nights as they host the Manitoba Moose on Friday with puck drop set for 7 p.
