GRAND RAPIDS - Grand Rapids Griffins coach Todd Nelson had a message for the team heading into Game 2 of the Central Division Semifinals:
"We have to have a reality check." he said. "We can't be as sloppy on Sunday the way we were (on Friday) because it's going to catch up to you."
The Griffins won Friday's Calder Cup Playoff opener, 4-3 in overtime, by matching the physical play of Milwaukee. But the execution on special teams will have to improve for Sunday's 4 p.m. game at Van Andel Arena.
Griffins don't play well, but follow simple plan for 1-0 series lead
Tomas Nosek listens to "just get pucks on net" and it leads to overtime winner.
