Game Six of the American Hockey League final will be contested on Tuesday and the Griffins are still just one game away from winning the Calder Cup. The Detroit Red Wings AHL affiliate could have won the series on Saturday but were routed by the Crunch, losing 5-1.
It was a rough Game Five for goaltender Jared Coreau as he let in five goals in the first period and was subsequently replaced for the duration of the game.
Thus far, the series has been a close one. Three of the five games have been decided by one goal with one game going to a double-overtime.
