BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Laurent Brossoit stopped all 31 shots he faced, while Andrew Miller's goal with 1:43 remaining in regulation proved to be the difference as the Bakersfield Condors defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 1-0 Friday at Rabobank Arena.
Tom McCollum stopped 39 of 40 shots on the night, but after Iiro Pakarinen's initial net-crashing effort was saved, Miller won the race to the crease and tapped the rebound into an open net.
The Griffins (0-1-0-0) came the closest to scoring in the opening period when Mitch Callahan's breakaway in the opening minute missed the net on Brossoit's blocker side.
