Detroit Wing Co.'s Woodhaven location on Monday will host a chicken wing eating contest emceed by former Red Wing Darren McCarty.
The competition is between members of Woodhaven's police and fire departments. Those representatives will set out to eat as many bone-in classic-style Detroit Wing Co.(DWC) wings as they can within 20 minutes.
The department that eats the most chicken wings will be deemed the winner. Along with bragging rights, the eatery will donate $5,000 to Forgotten Harvest, a food rescue and hunger-relief organization.
