Filip Zadina had a quiet debut in his professional night - as did most of the Grand Rapids Griffins in a 3-1 loss at Texas in the season opener Friday.
The 18-year-old Zadina, the No. 6 overall pick in the draft by the Detroit Red Wings, had no shots on goal and a minus-two rating. He was on the ice for Matthew Ford's power play goal to tie it 1-1 in the first period.
