Evgeny Svechnikov scored at 1:42 of overtime Saturday to lift the Red Wings past the Boston Bruins 4-3 at Little Caesars Arena.
Svechnikov buried a pass from Luke Glendening as the Red Wings improved to 3-0. Boston is 4-0-1. It was Svechnikov's second game-winning goal in as many games.
Filip Zadina, Dennis Cholowski and Vili Saarijarvi also scored goals for Detroit while Joe Veleno and Michael Rasmussen each picked up an assist.
