from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,
Christoffer Ehn is shoring up an audition to start next season the same place he began this one: with the Detroit Red Wings.
The 22-year-old forward earned an NHL job last fall because he’s a good skater who is responsible in his own zone and who can kill penalties. He’s played mostly wing but is versatile enough to fill in at center if needed. He’s had three stints with the Grand Rapids Griffins during the rare periods the Wings have been healthy, but Ehn will finish his rookie season of pro hockey with possibly with as many as 60 NHL appearances on his own merit.
