Dynamic Leafs supply just enough offense, defeat Red Wings

Detroit — The Toronto Maple Leafs were as advertised.

An offensive powerhouse, exciting to watch, and skating at opponents seemingly in waves. It’s as entertaining a show as there is in the NHL right now.

Unfortunately for the Red Wings Thursday, they were on the receiving end of that surge.

Nick Jensen did all he could, scoring twice for the Wings, but the Leafs scored three consecutive goals around the Jensen goals, leading Toronto to a 5-3 victory at Little Caesars Arena (which sounded like a Toronto home game for most of the evening).
