The United States remains the only undefeated team in Group B in preliminary round play.
Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin set up the first goal en route to a 3-2 overtime victory over Latvia on Thursday of Day 7 at the World Championship, held in Herning and Copenhagen, Denmark. It was Larkin's third point of the tournament.
The U.S., coached by Jeff Blashill, has 10 points after four games. A shootout victory over Canada was followed by shutouts against Denmark and Germany. Three preliminary games remain — against South Korea, Norway and Finland. The Finns suffered a regulation loss Wednesday when they were beaten by Denmark in a game that saw Wings forward Frans Nielsen score the first goal and assist on the winner.
