Detroit Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin is only 19 years old, born a half-decade into the team's ongoing streak of making the NHL playoffs.
Reminded about the streak at the Wings' practice today at Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett, Larkin was impressed but not overwhelmed. He is thinking more about the current team.
"It's an unbelievable streak, and it's come longer than I've been alive, so it just speaks to the players in the past," said Larkin, who was born in Waterford. "But ... it doesn't mean anything in the playoffs. It's not going to help us (now).
