DETROIT – The fierce in-state rivalry between the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State University Spartans continues with the “Duel in the D” at Joe Louis Arena on Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m., hosted by Olympia Entertainment.
New this season, Michigan and Michigan State will battle for the “Iron D” trophy, which will be awarded to the winner of the annual clash at The Joe. The trophy is being built by Erik and Israel Nordin at the Detroit Design Center and will feature a large “D” in the center of the trophy made of iron.
