GRAND RAPIDS - Dominic Turgeon won't be able to play in the postseason, but the Grand Rapids Griffins will still have his personality around as he recovers from thoracic outlet syndrome.
The second-year center was on hand Tuesday to watch the Griffins practice, his first time with the team since he underwent immediate surgery in Round Rock, Texas on April 11 to alleviate a blood clot found near his right collarbone.
Judging by the reaction, Turgeon has an impact on the Griffins. Teammates skated by the bench during breaks at practice at Van Andel Arena to chat with the 22-year-old.
