DETROIT - Dominic Turgeon gradually regained his health this summer, following surgery to remove a blood clot near his right clavicle.
He's looking forward to taking another step in his development this season with the Grand Rapids Griffins and perhaps working his way into the Detroit Red Wings lineup.
Turgeon, projected as a checking-line center in the NHL, has been skating with Red Wings players and fellow prospects at Little Caesars Arena in preparation for training camp next week.
"My mindset is to come into camp and be strong in what I can bring to hockey," Turgeon said.
