In a weird turn of events, the Detroit Red Wings claimed right-winger, Martin Frk, the day after Carolina put him there. Drafted by the Wings in 2012, Frk has put in a lot of ice time in the ECHL and the AHL, while accumulating a lot of points. He had an impressive preseason with the Red Wings this season with three points in five games. So, if you are keeping track, he was drafted by Detroit, spent three weeks in Carolina, and now he’s back.
His numbers in two NHL games with the Hurricanes were not spectacular.
