Talk about late-night — err early-morning — fireworks.
The Detroit Red Wings announced they traded winger Gustav Nyquist to the San Jose Sharks just after midnight on Monday morning in exchange for a 2019 second-round draft pick and a conditional third-round pick 2020.
Hours earlier, the Sharks saw Nyquist in person, when he scored a first-period goal in the Wings' 5-3 loss to San Jose at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
