Detroit Red Wings forward Teemu Pulkkinen showed off his assets at the international level today.
Pulkkinen, who has yet to establish himself with the Wings, scored twice to lead his native Finland past the U.S., 3-2, in overtime in an exhibition ahead of this month's 2016 world championship.
Both of Pulkkinen's goals in Helsinki came during power plays. Pulkkinen's strength is his booming right-handed shot, though he struggles to get it off quickly enough at the NHL level. He had six goals and six assists in 36 games this season for the Wings.
