The Detroit Red Wings will try to break out of their current slump tonight against the Winnipeg Jets. Detroit comes in having lost their past three games and Winnipeg has lost back to back games. This season has not gone as Winnipeg would have liked. They traded away their captain, Andrew Ladd, near the trade deadline and currently are 28th in the standings.
However, the Red Wings must also get back on track before the playoff position they hold escapes their grip. Defense must be a focal point for the Wings as they have allowed 14 goals over the current three game slump.
