Blashill’s boys blast Babcock in Detroit’s season-opener.
Here’s What Happened:
The Detroit Red Wings made their 2015-2016 NHL season-opener, as well as head coach Jeff Blashill’s first game behind the bench, one to remember. It was an exciting night/game of several firsts that saw pretty much every aspect of the game going in favor of the Red Wings. To quote my favorite paranormal-psychologist, Dr. Peter Venkman, “call it… fate, call it luck, call it karma, I believe everything happens for a reason,” and tonight’s game appeared to be a game full of fate.
Justin Abdelakder, along with everyone’s new favorite Red Wing Dylan Larkin, specifically spoiled Mike Babcock’s regular-season return to the Joe Louis Arena as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
