After a long and grueling road trip in Western Canada last week the Detroit Red Wings return home to Hockeytown and the Joe Louis Arena to take on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. This will already be the third time this season that the Red Wings and Hurricanes have squared off against each other. The Wings and Canes have split their season series so far with each team winning one game.
The Hurricanes (2-6-0) come into tonight’s game on a two-game losing-streak where they found themselves being outscored 8-2. In their last five-games Carolina has a record of 2-3, including a 5-3 road victory over the Red Wings on October 16th.
