On what seemed to be a slow news day, the Detroit Red Wings made some news for us. The team re-signed forward Teemu Pulkkinen to a one year deal. Pulkkinen made a name for himself the past two seasons playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins. The young Fin came up for 31 games with the big club registering eight points on five goals and three assists.

The deal is for one year, worth $735,000 according to Brendan Savage of Mlive.
